Dashboard
Use Dashboard to land on the right Console view for your role and reach every other screen from one place.
Dashboard is the screen the Console opens to after you sign in. It decides which of two views you land on: an Administration view with role-gated management cards, or a Portfolio-first view built for someone who only holds and invests. The decision is made once, on load, from the roles the active participant holds on the active organisation's system: your own account, or whichever participant you last selected in Acting as. The cards reflect those roles.
Dashboard cards open the screens where you complete each task: the "Actions" card opens "Actions", the identity or asset manager cards open their own management screens, and the portfolio summary opens Portfolio. If you already know which screen you need, go there directly from the sidebar. Come back to Dashboard when you are not sure what needs attention right now, or when you administer more than one area and want one screen that surfaces all of it. The Latest activity panel appears beside either view and opens on all activity. Its tabs narrow the list to your actions or, for administrators, system events. You can inspect recent activity without opening a dashboard card.
Dashboard reads data; it does not submit anything of its own. Opening it changes no balance, role, or approval. It does follow Acting asDelegated Authority lets a signed-in operator work inside another party's account. One check decides who may enter; the party's own roles decide the rest.Read the concept, because the role check that picks your view, and every management card that check gates, resolve against the participant currently active, not against your own account. Switch participant and this page can change from an Administration view to a Portfolio one, or the reverse. Switching already brings you here: an acting-as switch clears the Console's cached data and returns you to Dashboard on its own, so the view you land on always matches the participant you just switched to.
One role check on load decides which view appears: Administration with role-gated cards, or Portfolio-first for an account with no system role.
Open Dashboard
Dashboard is the page the Console opens to right after sign-in, once your account and organisation have finished onboarding, and it stays reachable from the sidebar afterward. An account still mid-onboarding, or an organisation that still requires two-factor authentication, is held on that setup flow instead and does not reach this page until it clears.

Dashboard renders one of two views on load, decided from your account's roles on the active system, with a small set of items that stay visible regardless of which view loaded.
Read the header before the cards
With any system role at all, the page opens on an "Administration" heading. A single one is enough, and the full set is wider than the management cards suggest. It includes admin, system manager, gas manager, auditor, token manager, compliance manager, identity manager, claim policy manager, claim issuer, feeds manager, trading venue operator, and add-on manager. Five of these, auditor, compliance manager, feeds manager, trading venue operator, and add-on manager, grant no management card of their own, so the Administration heading can appear with very little beneath it. With none of them, the page opens on a plain welcome header instead; holding tokens alone is not a system role and does not qualify. This single difference is the fastest way to confirm which view you are looking at, which matters when your own asset access is partial and you want to be certain before you act on a card.
Follow a card to the screen that does the work
In the Administration view, a Wallet gas card can appear first, listing wallets under the low-balance watermark. It needs only a network that charges gas and a role of admin, gas manager, or system manager. An Advanced accounts card can follow it, needing those same two conditions plus a platform-wide feature flag and an organisation-level setting, both enabled. Next comes your highest-priority role card, by a fixed order: Asset manager for the token manager role, Identity manager for the identity manager role, Verification policy manager for the claim policy manager role, Verification issuer for the claim issuer role. Then comes the "Actions" card in the middle of the grid, then any remaining role cards you hold, then Next steps last. In the Portfolio view, an unregistered identity replaces the whole grid with Identity progress; a registered one shows the Portfolio dashboard, including total value, asset count, and identity status, with a Next steps card beneath it.
Each card links out. The "Actions" card opens "Actions"; the portfolio summary opens Portfolio; an identity or asset manager card opens its own management screen. None of them complete the underlying task from Dashboard itself. A Latest activity panel sits beside the cards in its own column, opened on all EVM-family activity regardless of which view loaded, with tabs to narrow it to your own actions or, for an administrator, to system events.
Check the items that stay visible either way
Four items can appear regardless of your role. An invitations card shows pending organisation invitations. A chain-identity prompt appears when multi-network support is enabled and the selected network differs from the organisation's default; complete registration to resolve it. A pending-actions banner shows the count of operations that need attention. A finish-setup checklist stays visible until its tasks and completion notice have cleared.
Troubleshooting
The Administration section is missing entirely
Signal: Dashboard opens on a plain welcome header instead of the "Administration" heading, even though you expected management cards. Cause: the active participant holds none of the system roles the Console checks (admin, system manager, gas manager, auditor, token manager, compliance manager, identity manager, claim policy manager, claim issuer, feeds manager, trading venue operator, add-on manager). Check the active participant and its roles. Fix: check three things in order. Start with which participant is active in Acting as, since the check runs against that participant, not your own account. Then ask an administrator which role you were meant to receive, and confirm it was granted on the organisation whose system is currently active, since a role on one organisation's system does not carry to another.
One specific management card is missing, but others show
Signal: role cards render as expected, except one, most often Advanced accounts or Wallet gas. Cause for Wallet gas: it needs only a network that charges gas and a role of admin, gas manager, or system manager. Cause for Advanced accounts: it needs those same two conditions plus a platform-wide feature flag and an organisation-level setting, both enabled, so Wallet gas can appear without Advanced accounts beside it, but Advanced accounts never appears without Wallet gas. Auditor alone does not qualify for either, even though auditor counts toward the general Administration check. Cause for any other role card: you do not hold that specific role, even if you hold a different one that unlocked the Administration view itself. Fix: check each condition in order rather than assuming a single missing role explains it, since every one of these cards fails silently on any missing gate, with no specific message.
Portfolio header does not appear even though you have an admin role
Signal: the Administration view shows, but the portfolio summary above the card grid is missing. Cause: that summary is gated on identity registration, separately from the admin-role check that decides the view itself. An admin account with an unregistered identity gets the Administration cards without the portfolio summary above them. Fix: register an identity if the summary is expected; otherwise treat its absence as correct for an account that has not completed identity registration.
The pending-actions banner is absent even though you have pending work
Signal: no banner appears above the cards, but "Actions" clearly shows pending rows. Cause: the banner and the "Actions" card read the same query and count the same PENDING status from it, so a formula difference is not the explanation. The banner is built to fail toward silence. It reads with a plain query rather than a suspending one, so a retryable read failure, such as a transient error while an admission is still being processed, makes the banner disappear instead of showing stale or broken content. A banner that is missing while "Actions" shows real pending rows most likely means the banner's own read failed and quietly hid itself. Fix: refresh the page. If the banner reappears, the earlier read failed and recovered. If pending rows remain on "Actions" while the banner stays hidden after a refresh, confirm the active participant and network. Report the mismatch with the affected operation references if it persists.
The country-asset heatmap is missing
Signal: the Administration view loads, but no heatmap widget appears below the cards. Cause: the heatmap is scoped to the token manager role specifically; every other admin role, including a general admin role, does not add it. Fix: confirm token manager, the role behind the Asset manager card, is among your granted roles; no other role substitutes for it here.
Frequently asked questions
Can I turn off the Latest activity panel?
No. It renders unconditionally beside the cards on a wide screen and stacks below them on a narrow one; there is no dashboard setting that hides it. If you administer more assets than the panel is useful for, the full activity history for a participant lives on that participant's own screens instead.
Can I choose which management cards Dashboard shows me?
No. Every card's presence and order is decided entirely by your role, your network, and your organisation's settings; there is no dashboard preference that adds, removes, or reorders a card. To change what you see, the underlying condition has to change, such as a role grant or an administrator enabling a feature.
