Asset management insights
Read a one-page briefing on the organisation's assets: total value, launches, token activity, what needs attention, and how value is spread.
Insights is the organisation's scope-wide briefing on its assets. It reads as one page from top to bottom: a sentence that sums up the position, three headline figures with their change against the previous period, three items that may need you, then how value and assets are spread, how value moved over time, and where assets are domiciled. Every figure comes from indexed chain dataLedger Data lets an integration answer a holder list, a transfer history, or a compliance check with one query, instead of decoding chain events itself.Read the concept for the assets issued by the active organisation on the active network. Nothing on this page changes a token, and viewing it opens no transaction and adds no entry to "Activity".
Reach for Insights when the question covers the whole organisation rather than one token: how much the book is worth, whether launches are keeping up with creation, whether activity picked up, and what is waiting on you. Turn to All assets once you know, or can search for, a specific token; Insights lists no individual asset rows. Turn to Activity when you need one transaction's exact result, with its hash and timestamp. Insights counts events; it does not list them.
Steps
Open Insights and choose the period
Open "Asset management", then "Insights" in the sidebar, or select the "Insights" tab beside "All assets"; the page heading reads "Asset insights". Each block loads, and if needed fails, on its own, so a slow or failed read in one block never blanks the rest of the page.
The range selector at the top right sets one period for the whole page, from the last 24 hours to all time; it opens on one month. Beside it, "Compare with prior period" is on by default: every change figure and the dashed line on the trend chart then compare the chosen period with the period of the same length just before it. The switch is hidden when the range is "All", because all time has no earlier period to compare with. The line under the selector says when the figures were last refreshed.

Screen equivalent: a summary sentence, then a strip of three figures with the total value widest, then three attention cards, then two composition bars side by side, a wide value chart, and the jurisdiction map across the full width.
Read the summary and the three figures
The sentence at the top states the total value, how many assets it spans and across how many asset types, whether any launches are pending, and, with comparison on, whether value rose, fell, or held flat against the previous period. It is built from the same figures as the blocks below it, so it never says anything the page does not show.
The strip under it carries three figures. "Total value" sums every asset's value in the organisation's base currency, an organisation setting that falls back to the platform default when unset; check that setting first if a figure looks like the wrong denomination. When any asset has no price to convert from, the label reads "Total value, priced assets only": the sum leaves those assets out rather than counting them at zero. "Launched" shows launched assets out of all created assets, with the launched share beneath. A token counts as launched once its first unpause transaction confirms on-chain, so a token still in setup, or paused before its debut, counts as created but not launched. "Token events" counts the transfers, mints, and burns recorded across the organisation's assets during the chosen period.
With comparison on, each figure also shows its change against the previous period, coloured by size and direction, and a small line traces the figure across the period. "Total value" and "Launched" compare the level at the end of each period; "Token events" compares the number of events inside each period.
The prior period has the same length as the chosen one and ends where it starts. "Total value" and "Launched" compare the level at the end of each period; "Token events" compares the number of events inside each.
Act on what needs attention
The three cards below the figures are the items that may need you. Each card opens "All assets", where the status column and the filters take you to the tokens concerned.
- "Launches pending" counts created assets that have not launched yet. A non-zero count is highlighted because each one is waiting for an unpause from an authorised operator.
- "Assets paused" counts assets whose transfers are currently paused, which normally includes assets that have not launched yet. When that count cannot be read, the card asks you to check paused assets in the list instead of showing a number it does not have.
- The third card depends on pricing. When any asset has no price to convert into the base currency, it reads "Value excludes unpriced assets" and links to price feeds for an account that holds the feeds-manager role, or to "All assets" for any other account. When every asset is priced, it counts the assets created during the chosen period.
A count of zero stays on the card in a muted colour rather than disappearing, so an empty queue reads as confirmed rather than missing.
Read the composition, the trend, and the map
The two composition blocks show the current position, whatever the chosen period, and the page labels them "as of now". "Value by asset class" splits total value across asset classes as one bar and a ranked list; the "Count" option switches the same block to the number of assets in each class. "Assets by type" counts the assets of each asset type. It counts assets, not the supply issued under them. Each block shows the five largest groups and folds the rest into "Other".
"System value" plots the total value across the chosen period. With comparison on, a dashed line traces the previous period under it, aligned to the same positions, so you read the two shapes against each other. A dot marks each point where at least one asset launched, which often explains a step up in value. The line can fall as well as rise: a burn or a price decline lowers the total.
"Assets by jurisdiction", at the bottom, shades each country by the number of asset contracts domiciled there. It is shown only to an account that holds the token-manager role.
Inspect the source record
Open "All assets" and search by the asset name, symbol, or contract address to confirm what a count or composition is summarising. For a change in token events, open "Activity", filter by event type, and sort by time to find the events behind it. Use the detailed record, not the aggregate figure, for any operational decision; a figure tells you something changed, never exactly what changed or on whose behalf.
Troubleshooting
A recent transaction seems missing from the figures
Signal: a transaction you know confirmed does not yet show up in a figure or on the chart. Cause: Insights reads from indexed data, not the chain directly, so a brief lag between confirmation and indexing is normal and not a sign the transaction failed. Fix: check the refresh time under the range selector. An account with the admin or system-manager role can also open Platform status and read the "Data freshness" panel, which classifies the lag as on time, delayed, or not landing at all. Any other account should confirm the transaction on "Activity", or on a block explorer for the network, then wait and refresh rather than assume the operation failed.
The page shows an empty state instead of the briefing
Signal: the page reads "Your asset overview will appear here" instead of any figure. Cause: the active organisation holds no assets on the active network, which the Console distinguishes from a slow load. Fix: confirm the organisation and network selectors match where assets were issued. An account with token-create permission sees a "Create an asset" shortcut into the asset designer.
A figure reads Unavailable
Signal: one figure shows "Unavailable" and a "Retry" button while the rest of the page renders normally. Cause: each figure runs its own read, so one failed read never blanks the others. Fix: select "Retry" on that figure; it repeats only that read.
The total value says priced assets only
Signal: the "Total value" label reads "priced assets only" and the third attention card reads "Value excludes unpriced assets". Cause: at least one asset has no price that converts into the base currency, so its value is left out of the total rather than counted at zero. Fix: an account with the feeds-manager role follows the card to price feeds and adds the missing feed; any other account asks that role holder to do so. The total and every value figure rise once the price is available.
No change figures or dashed line appear
Signal: the figures show no change against an earlier period, and the chart has no dashed line. Cause: "Compare with prior period" is off, or the range is "All", which has no earlier period. Fix: choose a bounded range and turn the switch on.
Frequently asked questions
Why does "Assets paused" include assets that have not launched?
A token launches with its first unpause, so an asset still pending launch normally shows as paused. "Assets paused" counts every asset paused right now, which is what the status column in "All assets" shows; "Launches pending" counts the assets that have never been unpaused. Read the two together: paused assets beyond the pending launches are assets that launched and were paused again.
Why can the "Launched" change and the launch dots disagree with the created count?
"Launched" and the chart dots follow launches, which happen when an asset is first unpaused, not when it is created. An asset created last month and launched today adds a dot today and raises this period's "Launched" figure, while the created count moved last month. Read "Launches pending" for the gap between the two.
Does Insights update while I keep the page open, or do I need to reload it?
It updates itself. The snapshot figures refresh as new blocks arrive on the active network, and the refresh time under the range selector moves with them, so a change on-chain appears without a manual reload once the indexer has caught up.
