Platform organisations
Create an organisation as a platform administrator, and review every organisation on the platform from one list.
An organisation groups membership, settings, and issued assets within a DALP InstanceA DALP Instance is one self-contained copy of the platform, deployed inside a boundary you choose and connected to ledger networks you approve.Read the concept. Organisations gives a platform administrator a global view of every one of them, and lets them create a new one. The table always lists every organisation regardless of which network is selected at the top of the page; switching that selector only changes what each row's Assets column counts, not which rows appear. Creating an organisation adds it to this list, then starts its setup flow.
Organisations is a platform administrator's tool, not an organisation's: reach for it to see or create organisations across the platform, not to manage settings inside one you already run, which is the Organisation settings family instead.
Steps
Open Organisations
Open Platform settings, then Organisations. The network selector at the top of the page changes only what each row's Assets column counts; every organisation on the platform appears in the table regardless of which network is selected.

Screen equivalent: a network selector, a create-organisation control, and a table with columns Name, Owners, Members, Assets, and Created.
Create an organisation
Select Create organisation, enter the organisation's name, and submit the form. The platform trims leading and trailing space; the name may run up to 32 characters, and a longer one is rejected with a validation error rather than shortened, so an oversized name doesn't save at all. That same name also becomes the organisation's permanent URL slug: lowercased, with anything outside letters, digits, and hyphens turned into a hyphen, repeated hyphens collapsed into one, and any hyphen left at the start or end removed. The name is also one of the two fields, alongside the slug, that the platform-wide search matches. Check the name before submitting. The organisation becomes available for setup as soon as creation succeeds.
Troubleshooting
The page redirects away
Your account's role is not Admin. That role is a single off-chain value, not a separate Platform Administrator permission you can hold independently.
Creation succeeds, but you don't land in the new organisation
The Console created the organisation record but could not switch your session into it, and shows "Organisation created, but switching to it failed. Select it from the organisation switcher to continue setup." Follow that message rather than this table: the table has no control that switches your session. Open the organisation switcher in the sidebar footer, the same control other organisation-scoped pages use, and select the new organisation from there; refresh first if it isn't listed yet.
An organisation was created by mistake
This page has no undo control, and neither does any other Console screen today: see the FAQ below on archiving or deleting an organisation.
The form rejects the name
Another organisation already derives the same lowercase, hyphenated form from its name. The Console shows "An organisation with this name already exists." The check compares that derived form. Names such as "Acme Corp" and "Acme & Corp" produce the same result and conflict. Change more than case or punctuation when you pick a new name, not just less of it.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns the organisation after I create it?
The account that submits the create form becomes that organisation's owner automatically: organisation creation always assigns ownership to its creator, and this page has no field to name a different owner. If someone else needs to run the organisation day to day, add and manage them from Organisation participants once you're inside it, not from this page.
Is there anywhere else in the platform where I can archive or delete an organisation?
No Console screen exposes that today. The platform disables organisation deletion entirely, not just on this page, and while the server supports an administrative archive and restore capability, no page in the Console currently calls it. If you create an organisation by mistake, the practical outcome today is an unused row you cannot remove through the product, not a delete path you haven't found yet.
How can I tell whether a listed organisation has finished its onboarding?
The table has no onboarding-status column. A zero asset count does not prove that setup is incomplete: the organisation may have no issued assets or may hold assets on another network. Select the organisation and check its setup or Dashboard state directly.
Can I rename an organisation after creating it?
Yes, but not from this page, and not by every member. The name you enter here is the organisation's first name, not a permanent one: the organisation's own owner can update it later from its own Organisation settings. A member who isn't the owner sees "You are not authorized to manage the organisation. You are not the owner of the organisation." there instead of the name field, so handing a freshly created organisation to someone who only joins as a member won't let them fix a typo; only its owner can. Renaming only touches the display name: the slug this page derived at creation, the organisation's URL namespace, stays fixed no matter how many times the name changes.
How do I find one organisation among many?
The search box above the table matches both the name and the slug derived from it, so searching what you remember of a name still finds an organisation whose exact current name you don't, including one renamed since creation. Only the Name and Created columns sort; Owners, Members, and Assets don't.
