Manage Permissions

Assign and revoke the Sale Admin and Funds Manager roles on a token sale from the Permissions tab, granting each role to a participant without handing over full token administration.

The Permissions tab lets you delegate two scoped roles on a token sale -- Sale Admin and Funds Manager -- to the people who run the offering. Each role is limited to the sale, so you can hand off day-to-day sale management without granting broader administration of the underlying token.

Quick answer

Open the sale, go to the Permissions tab, and use Manage roles to grant or revoke a role for a participant. The change applies to every wallet that participant owns and takes effect once the transaction confirms.

The two sale roles

RoleWhat it can do
Sale AdminManages sale parameters and the sale lifecycle -- configuring settings, activating, pausing, ending, and finalizing the sale.
Funds ManagerWithdraws the funds collected during the sale, covering both the native currency and accepted ERC-20 payment currencies.

These are the only roles the Permissions tab can assign. It cannot grant unrelated roles on the underlying token, so delegating sale management never widens a person's access beyond the sale itself.

Prerequisites

  • You hold Sale Admin on the sale, or you are an administrator of the underlying token.
  • The participant you want to assign has at least one verified wallet.
  • The sale's underlying token has an access manager. A brand-new sale whose token has no access manager yet has nothing to administer, and the tab explains this instead of showing an empty table.

Grant a role

Open the Permissions tab

On the sale detail page, select the Permissions tab. It lists every account that holds a sale role, with the roles each one carries. Search and filter the list to find a specific entry.

Open Manage roles

Click Manage roles. When the button is disabled, you do not have permission to change roles on this sale: ask a current Sale Admin or a token administrator to grant you access first.

Choose the participant and role

Select the participant and the role to grant: Sale Admin, Funds Manager, or both. The role applies to every wallet that participant owns, so it keeps working even when they act from a different wallet.

Confirm and authenticate

Review the change and authenticate with your PIN or one-time code. DALP queues the grant for confirmation, and the Permissions tab shows the new role once the change confirms.

Revoke a role

Revoking a role follows the same path. Open the Permissions tab, click Manage roles, select the participant and the role to remove, and authenticate. DALP removes the role from every wallet that participant owns. Removing one role leaves the participant's other roles in place.
