Overview
What the venue-operations surface covers, who can use it, and where to find the markets table, listing ceremony, market controls, fee schedules, desk administration, and venue health.
The Trading Venue gives each DALP deployment its own permissioned, session-aware orderbook for listed platform token pairs. Operators run it from one Console surface: a markets table, a new-market wizard, a listing-ceremony checklist per market, trading calendars with session overrides, and private-market participant administration. The same surface holds band and threshold controls with preview, market controls for halt, resume, and delisting, a fee-schedule editor, desk administration and trade busting under maker-checker, and a venue health panel. This page maps that surface; the sibling pages walk each operation.
Prerequisites
- A deployed trading-venue addon. The Trading and Venue operations sidebar entries appear only when one is deployed.
- The venue-operator role for market operations: platform administrators and organization owners hold it. The on-chain venue contract enforces its own operator role check on every market operation as well.
The venue-operations surface
Go to Venue operations in the sidebar. The screen shows:
| Region | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Markets table | Every market with its pair, status, session state, and fee schedule. A market's status is Pending listing, Open for trading, Market halt, or Delisted. |
| New-market wizard | List a new market: the pair, trading grid, price protection band, fee schedule, fee account, trading mode, and visibility. See List a market. |
| Market detail | The listing-ceremony checklist, market controls, the trading calendar, bands and thresholds, participants for a private market, and the fee-schedule editor for one market. |
| Desk administration | Propose and approve trading authorizations and desk limits under maker-checker. See Administer desks. |
| Bust proposals | Propose and decide trade busts under maker-checker. See Bust an erroneous trade. |
| Venue health | Settlement failures, reconciliation, feed publishing, and the submitter gas budget. See Monitor venue health. |
With no markets yet, the screen shows guidance pointing to the new-market wizard.
Market lifecycle at a glance
A pending market is a listing ceremony still missing a precondition. A halted market stops matching and new order acceptance but keeps its resting orders and reserved balances. A delisted market is closed permanently: its resting orders are cancelled and its reserved balances released.
What each page covers
- List a market: the new-market wizard and the listing-ceremony checklist, including the issuer's custodian-role grant.
- Configure trading calendars: timezones, weekly session templates, holidays, the opening auction, and session overrides.
- Run private markets: auction-only private listings and participant-list administration.
- Set price bands and thresholds: static and dynamic bands, size limits, and the preview-and-prune flow.
- Halt, resume, and delist a market: stopping and reopening trading, and the irreversible delisting with its typed confirmation.
- Set fee schedules: maker and taker fees in basis points, and how a raise interacts with resting orders' signed fee caps.
- Administer desks: proposing and approving desk limits with a distinct approver.
- Bust an erroneous trade: the pre-checked, dual-approved compensating reversal.
- Monitor venue health: the four health metrics and what each severity asks of you.
