Switch the participant you act as
Use the Acting as switcher in the Console header to move between your own person participant and any organization you administer, so operations run under the right identity.
You sign in as one person, but you may operate for more than one party. An operations lead who administers two issuers needs to act as each one in turn, without signing in and out. The Acting as switcher in the Console header sets which participant your session operates as, so every asset operation, table, and view runs under that identity.
Switching changes only the identity your requests run under, and never widens what you may do. When you act as a company, the platform still enforces that organization's on-chain roles for every operation. If you may act for one but lack the role for a mint or transfer, the platform rejects that operation.
Prerequisites
- A signed-in Console account.
- At least one organization you may act as. You may act as an organization when your account holds the organization identity-manager role or the admin role in that organization on the network you are working on. Your own person participant is always available.
Where the switcher appears
The Acting as control sits in the Console header and shows the participant you are acting as now: your organization's name when you act as an organization, or You when you act as your own person participant. A small avatar and an unfold icon mark it as a menu.
The switcher appears only when the platform can read the participants you may act as. When that list is empty or cannot be read, the header hides the control rather than showing an empty menu.
Who appears in the list
The menu lists every participant you may act as on the network you are working on:

Each organization row shows the organization name and the role that entitles you to act for it. The list is scoped to the active network: an organization appears only where you hold a qualifying role on that network. It never shows another user's participants, and it never exposes asset or financial data.
Switch the participant you act as
Open the switcher
In the Console header, select the Acting as control. The menu opens under the header and lists the participants you may act as, with a checkmark on the one you are acting as now.
Choose a participant
Select your own person participant or an organization from the list. Selecting the participant you already act as makes no change and closes the menu.
Let the Console refresh
The Console applies the new identity, then returns you to the dashboard and refreshes its data under that participant. Tables, balances, and the operations you can run now reflect the participant you switched to.
What changes when you switch
- Identity context. Requests you make run as the selected participant. When you act as an organization, operations you submit act on its behalf.
- What you see. The Console refetches data for the active participant, so portfolios, holdings, and operational views show that participant's assets.
- What you may do. The platform enforces the active participant's on-chain roles for every operation. Acting as a company does not grant you its roles; it lets you operate within the roles that organization already holds for your account.
Your choice stays with your session. If you reload the page, the Console keeps you acting as the same participant. To return to your own person participant, open the switcher and select the You row.
Troubleshooting
